I wanted to give you an update on how things are going at WHPC.
WE ARE OPEN AND SEEING PATIENTS, PROVIDING MEDICAL AND SURGICAL CARE, FILLING PRESCRIPTIONS, ETC.
We are about six weeks out from the accident where the car came through our reception area wall, injuring some of the team & causing extensive damage to the front of the hospital. We still have some team members out of the office. We are seeing patients and starting to get back to performing surgeries too. We hope that in the next couple of months, we will have our full team back together. We so appreciate your patience and your well-wishes & offers to help in any way you can. We are sorry that we aren’t able to see every patient as quickly as we’d like, but we want to be sure we are providing the best care for each & every pet. With about 60% of the nursing team still out, you can see that we cannot see as many pets each day as we were previously with a full team. We also have some restrictions to having people come in or work in the reception area as all damage hasn’t been repaired. Until the City of LA approves the permits our landlord has already had drawn up and submitted, he cannot complete the exterior structural repairs, so interior repairs are also on hold. This makes the reception area unusable, so reception has moved into an exam room for now.

This has been a very difficult time for everyone & we aren’t through it yet.
