APRIL LINSON
DVM
Medical Director
Dr. Linson’s lifelong passion for animals began in her childhood in rural West Virginia. From caring for family pets to rescuing abandoned dogs, her deep connection with animals influenced her journey from considering human medicine to embracing veterinary medicine. After completing her education at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Linson practiced in West Virginia and Ohio before opening her own practice in Cincinnati. In 2004, she moved to California, bringing her commitment to animal care and integrative approaches like acupuncture and herbal therapy.
Despite her initial shyness, Dr. April discovered a shared passion for animals that forms bonds with everyone she meets. She relishes her role in making a difference in both animals' lives and their human companions. Outside work, Dr. Linson balances her passion for veterinary care with coaching basketball, family activities, and enjoying Cincinnati Bengals games. Alongside her wife Cathy, they adopted their daughter Shen in 2002. Their family includes two cats, Buddy and Cleo, and three dogs: Stella, Zoe, and Mea, each with their own unique personalities and heartwarming stories.
